Why Deltans should vote for Sheriff; A Proper Warri Boy from Grass To Grace – Edema writes

As the Gubernatorial/House of Assembly elections inch closer, I wish to call on all Itsekiris, Ijaws, Isokos, Okpes, Ukwanis, Delta Ibos in general, Urhobos in general and all Nigerians residing in Delta State, to vote massively for Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor of Delta State come Saturday March 11, 2023.

Over the past Five Years, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is not just the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, but a Pan Delta Politician as well as Leader with uncommon Political Sagacity, knowledge of the intricate, but diverse dynamics of the multi-ethnographic nature of Delta State.

It is no surprise Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has become the longest serving Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, since the creation of Delta State.

Sometimes I am taken aback by various attacks on the person of the Speaker, especially as regards his pedigree and intellectual acumen, because none of his peers, have been able question his pedigree and intellectual acumen, neither has he been found wanting in his performance as the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly for five years.

Amazingly, the attack on his intelligence is coming mostly from those who championed a "tissue paper" certificate President in 2015 and a candidate with questionable academic records in the just concluded Presidential election, held Saturday February 25, 2023.

It is on record that Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, became Speaker at a time when Deltans were still battling the effect of the 2017 recession, inflicted on us by the ineptitude of the current APC led Federal Government and the 2021 recession, which grounded the economic life of most states in the country, making it difficult for some states to pay salaries of civil and public servants. But Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, rose up to the occasion by helping the Delta State Government, to steer through these most difficult times in our lives.

I can confidently say that those involved in the campaign of calumny and character assassination against Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, are amazed and unable to grasp the towering profile, nay the evolution of a common man, who rose through the murky waters of the Streets of Warri, to become the Speaker of one of the most sophisticated states in the Federation.

I am therefore calling on Deltans, who are eligible to vote, especially the youths to vote massively for Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, because aside the fact that his candidacy resonates with me as Warri boy, he represents the Story of Grass-to-Grace of the average Wafarian.

As a proper Warri boy, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, when elected as Governor of Delta State, will once again elucidate the proper Mantra of "Warri nor dey carry last.” It will also re-affirm and re-echo the "never-say-die" spirit of the average Warri Boy and re-emphasize the height the common Warri Boy can reach, once he makes up his mind.

If you are a Wafarian; I mean a proper Warri Boy, then come out massively to vote for Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori this Saturday March 11, 2023.
