Verdict Delta: Vote for PDP, Shola Mese Appeals to Delta Women

The Founder of Shola Mese Foundation, Deacon Shola Mese, has appealed to women in Warri and other parts of Delta State, to vote for Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Sherriff Francis Oborevwori and the party’s House of Assembly candidates in this Saturday, March 11 polls, saying it would guarantee better representation of women in political affairs in the state. 

 

 

 

Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that Deacon Mese, made the appeal Wednesday March 8, in a message to mark this year’s International Women’s Day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fresh Angle International, understands that the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, is “Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality.”

 

Deacon Mese, a Philanthropist and a Security Consultant, said: "The person you vote for, will determine how you are represented in government. I know many of you already have who you want to vote for, but if I may advise, vote for PDP.”

 

He added that irrespective of the candidates the women cast their vote for, it will not stop his humanitarian activities, saying: "My giving, will not stop, I will still do more, no matter the outcome of the elections, my calling is not political, but humanitarian."

 

According to him, this year’s International Women’s Day, was set aside to show love and appreciate women for their contributions to the society, hence his Foundation gave out packs of rice to women.

Over five hundred women were given a pack of rice each, to mark the celebration.

 

One of the beneficiaries, identified simply as Mrs. Umukoro, prayed for God’s continued blessing on Deacon Mese, “for always putting smile on the faces of women, especially widows in the society.”

 

Another beneficiary, identified simply as Mrs. Christy, said she was excited by the gesture of Deacon Shola and the Foundation, for always caring for women in the society.
