Oborevwori’s Victory: There was no rigging, Esimaje declares as he leads his group in celebration

Former President of Itsekiri National Youth Council INYC as well as Initiator and Coordinator of Team Esimaje Awani Support Group, Comrade Esimaje Awani, this afternoon, Monday March 20, led many members of his support group round major streets in Warri, Delta State, in celebration of the victory of Delta State PDP governorship candidate in the just concluded election, Rt. Hon. Sherriff Oborevwori, saying: “Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is trusted, tested and there was no rigging in the entire process that led to his victory as Governor-Elect of Delta State.”

Recall that Team Esimaje Awani Support Group, had on Tuesday November 1, 2022, gathered over 5,000 of its members for the then Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, sensitizing eligible voters in Warri and other parts of Delta State, on the need to cast their vote for Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Members of Team Esimaje Awani Support Group, who converged on the said date at the field opposite Olu Palace, Warri, marched through Ajamimogha, Airport Road, Okumagba Avenue, Okumagba Estate Roundabout, Okere Market Square, Ekpen, Mabiaku Link Road and Nana College Road, all in Warri, before rounding off the sensitization rally at the now popular Rice Farm at Esisi Road, also in Oil City.

Our Principal Correspondent, reports that Comrade Awani, who earlier today, Monday March 20, led hundreds of members of Team Esimaje Awani Support Group from Mabiaku Link Road, Ajamimogha, Okere Market, Esisi Roundabout, Uku-Square, Okere Road, Oki street, Nigerian Correctional Centre, Warri, Igbo Market, Warri -Sapele Road, Main Market, NPA Old Port by Miller Waterside to Ekurede-Itsekiri/Ugbori, expressed joy for the victory of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori

He appreciated members and non-members of PDP, “for coming out enmasse, to cast their ballot for the PDP in the last concluded Governorship and State House of Assembly polls.”

Comrade Awani, averred: “I led members of my support group on the visit to Igbo Market, Warri, to thank traders in the market for voting PDP. I canvassed for vote from them during the campaign period and assured them that I will come back to thank them for voting Rt. Hon. Oborevwori”.

According to him, the Delta State Governor-Elect, Rt. Hon. Oborevwori, is the longest serving Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, promising that Rt. Hon. Oborevwori, will give adequate leadership and quality governance as Delta State governor.

Whilst tasking the Governor-Elect on development, employment, empowerment of the people and youth engagement as regards building entrepreneurship, Comrade Awani, enjoined Rt. Hon. Oborevwori, to sustain the existing peace in the state and carry out facelift of Igbo Market, Warri, on assumption of Office as Governor.

He assured Deltans that the incoming governor, “will do more to improve the lives of people living in Delta State and take the state to the highest height in the country.”

Chairman of Igbo Market, Warri Zone 6, Okeyson Cosmos Okechukwu, while responding to Comrade Awani and members of his support group at the Igbo Market, Warri, commended the PDP Chieftain and former Itsekiri Youth leader, for the ‘thank you visit’ after the poll, appealing to the Governor – Elect, to empower the people as well as improve the business capacity of traders in Igbo Market.

Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on Youth and Community Development, Prince David Odeli, who also spoke during the celebration rally, expressed delight for Rt. Hon. Oborevwori and other PDP candidates’ victory, assuring that the governor-elect, will ensure even development of Warri and other parts of Delta State.
