The All Progressives Congress, APC Chairman of Ogidigben Ward 10 in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Ama Edema, says the APC membership card the member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, picked, was not from Ogidigben Ward 10.
Mr. Edema, who spoke to Fresh Angle International in an exclusive interview in Warri this evening, Tuesday May 6, said he doesn’t know who issued membership card to the Federal Legislator and hasn’t seen any PDP decampee, coming to register with the APC in Ogidigben Ward 10, Warri South-West.
He stated: “I saw something online about Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, about his registration for APC ward. Such registration, was never done in my ward. I don’t know who issued that membership card to him. If he comes to my ward, I will not deny him membership card.
“Since they decamped, I haven’t seen anybody in Ward 10 to collect membership card. I am still expecting them, when they come, I will register them.
“I was there in Asaba when Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the governor of Delta State, defected from PDP to APC, his statement was ‘go back to your ward and collect your membership card’.
“I have nothing personal against him (Chief Thomas Ereyitomi) he is my elder brother, but not passing through me as the ward chairman to get membership card, is wrong, I will not accept it. That membership card is not from ward 10.”
This Newspaper, had published a syndicated story on April 29, wherein Chief Ereyitomi, was reported to have picked the membership card of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in his ward in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The report noted how Chief Ereyitomi, “formally registered as a member of the governing party at a ceremony attended by a large number of his constituents and followers at his Ogidigben Ward 10 in Warri South West Local Government Area.”
