The Chairman of Udu Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon. Onajite Brown, on Tuesday April 4, swore-in Hon. Eki Afuevure as the new Executive Secretary of Local Education Authority, LEA in Udu Local Government Area and subsequently announced dissolution of the Council’s executive, Fresh Angle International can report.
Our Udu Local Government Area Bureau Chief, reports that the Udu Local Government Council Boss, while swearing – in Hon. Eki Afuevure, enjoined stakeholders in the education sector, to initiate people-oriented policies and programmes, that would improve the standard of education in Udu Local Government Area and other parts of the state.
This Newspaper, understands that Hon. Afuevure is the sixth Executive Secretary of Local Education Authority in Udu Local Government Area.
Hon. Brown, explained that the inauguration of Hon. Afuevure, was sequel to the expiration of the tenure of Mr. Daniel Tishene, the immediate past Executive Secretary of the LEA.
Whilst appreciating Mr. Tishene for his service to humanity and hard-work towards improving the standard of education in Udu Local Government Area, the Udu Local Government Chief Executive, admonished the new LEA Secretary, Hon. Eki Afuevure, to run an inclusive administration.

He advised to Hon. Afuevure, to consult with his predecessors from time-to-time, so as to tap into their wealth of experience and build on their achievements.
In his speech, Hon. Afuevure, thanked Hon. Brown for counting him worthy for the appointment, promising to work closely with the staffers of the LEA, with a view to discharge his duty conscientiously and live up the confidence reposed on him.
In another development, Hon. Brown, today, announced the dissolution of the Executive Arm of Udu Local Government Council at the end of the Council’s exco meeting.
The Supervisors affected by the dissolution are; Hon. Ernest Mereh (Supervisor for Finance) Hon. Voke Obukata (Supervisor for Environment) Chief Lucky Jitoku (Supervisor for Works) Mrs. Faith Otire (Supervisor for Education and Community Development) and Mrs. Senta Willie (Supervisor for Agriculture).
The out-gone Supervisor for Finance, Hon. Mereh, thanked the Council Boss, for finding them worthy to serve in his administration, just as he commended other members of the dissolved exco for their understanding and cooperation.
Hon. (Bar.) Eloho Awinoron, Hon. Festus Avwata, Hon. Eddie Ono-Sorhue, Mr. Samuel Dawho, Hon. Ernest Mereh, Hon. Obukata Voke, Chief Lucky Jitoku, Mrs. Faith Otiri, Mrs. Senta Willie, Mr. Omordio Mudiga, Mrs. Okpobrisi Roseline and Mrs. Ufuoma Ajuwa, were among those present, during the ceremony.
