It remains to be seen how the National Population Commission, NPC, would be able to carry out the National Population and Housing Census billed to commence May 3, as the Commission, has confirmed the indefinite postponement of Local Government Area-level training of Supervisors and Enumerators.
Fresh Angle International understands that the LGA-level training of Supervisors and Enumerators, originally scheduled to commence tomorrow, Thursday April 13, was shifted “due to some emerging issues.”
According to a statement released few minutes ago on the verified twitter handle of NPC, the Commission, noted that a new date for the LGA-level training of Supervisors and Enumerators, will be communicated to the public in due course.
The statement signed by the Director, Public Affairs of NPC, Isiaka Yahaya, PhD, emphasized: “We assure Nigerians that the Commission remains committed to conduct a credible and acceptable 2023 Population and Housing Census and that all preparations are in top gear.
“Consequently, we advise the public to disregard any message contrary to this information.
“We regret any inconvenience this postponement may have caused the functionaries.”
