The Delta State Police Command, says one Eddy Aboyowa, who is 37years old and a certain 35-year old Akpani Isaiah, are in their custody as a result of thirty (30) rounds of 7.62 AK47 live ammunition, found in a tricycle conveying two of them and one other occupant.
According to a statement, electronically sent to Fresh Angle International, today, Wednesday May 10, the arrest of Eddy Aboyowa and Akpani Isaiah, was carried out 8pm yesterday, Tuesday May 9, when the DPO ‘A’ Division Warri, CSP T.Y Mahmud, led the Divisional Anti-Crime Patrol Team out on visibility and confidence building patrol.
The Police in the statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command,
DSP Bright Edafe, explained that patrol was to curtail the activities of kidnappers and armed robbers in Warri and its environs.
The Police claimed: “During the patrol, the team intercepted a tricycle along Eagle Roundabout by Ogunu Bridge, conveying three occupants and subjected them to a search, during the search, thirty (30) rounds of 7.62 AK47 live ammunition, were recovered from two of the passengers namely; Eddy Aboyowa (m) age 37years, and Akpani Isaiah (m) age 35years, both of Eyiejuku (Efejuku) street off Deco road, Warri.”
