Former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the 9th Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, says democracy has prevailed and Nigeria won, in the election of the new leadership of the 10th National Assembly.
Fresh Angle International can report that Senator Kalu, who initially declared interest to contest for the position of the Senate President in the just inaugurated 10th Senate, made the assertion in two threads of tweet, released this morning, Thursday June 15.
The federal lawmaker, stated: “On behalf of my family and the good people of Abia North Senatorial District, congratulate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; Vice President Kashim Shettima, CON; Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon Benjamin Kalu, on the successful inauguration of the National Assembly & election of its Principal Officers.
