This was disclosed after the stakeholders meeting hosted  in Lokoja by the former lawmaker yesterday to welcome and familiarize with those who recently decamped to the party from the opposition parties.

He said they should not lose sight of the fact that Kabba/Bunu is made up of two districts, as such they will work with other stakeholders from Bunu to deliver the local government en-mass to the APC, stressing that the Kabba stakeholders meeting is to first welcome them into fold of the party at the district level before that of the local government stakeholders meeting.

While welcoming them into the party, he assured them that APC under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi State sees all members of the party as one not minding the time they joined to become members, stressing that the day you join, the person automatically becomes a full member to enjoy the same privileges like those he met in the party.

He said the party is happy to have people like them in the APC, urging them to cooperate with the existing members for unity of purpose that will reposition the party to win the forthcoming election overwhelmingly.

He noted that with the establishment of the Kogi State University sited in Kabba, he believes the people of the local government will go the way of the party, pointing out that APC is a party to belong to.

He appealed for all members to return home and continue to preach the gospel of the party to the nooks and crannies of Kabba community.

He noted that the achievements of the current administration in the local government already gives the party leverage when the campaign starts to educate the people and also remind them of what the party has done in the area and state at large.

Barrister Alfred Bello, Hon Segun Ogbonikon, Hon. Himikaiye Dare others who spoke commended those they met in the party for the level of cooperation they have enjoyed since they decamped to the party, stressing that they have not come to unseat or work against the interest of those they met in the party but to add value to the existing structures of the party in the area.

They said being in opposition is not good for any politician especially those that have the interest of the community at heart, noting that it is only when you are in the ruling party that you can facilitate meaningful projects that will be impactful on the people.

He reiterated that they were impressed with Governor Yahaya Bello's performance in various sectors of the state economy, especially his decision to establish a state university in Kabba to meet the yearnings, aspirations and long time desires of the people of Okunland to have such an institution on their soil.
