The Kogi State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, (NSCDC) Ahmad Ahmad Gandi has stated that the agency has not deviated from its mandate in protecting critical infrastructures across the Country.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Gandi made the disclosure Thursday July 27, when he played host to the Nigeria Army new 12 Brigade Commander Kogi State, Brig Gen HI Dasuki in Lokoja.
The Commandant who took his time to explain the Corps core mandates of NSCDC said "We are highly trained, well positioned to make sure all those Assets and infrastructure are safe and well guarded. We have so many of them in the State and we are doing our best in these regard.
"NSCDC personnel are in all the 21 local government of the State providing Security to ensure Law and Order, protecting lives and property including Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in all nukes and cranny in the State"
He lauded the robust synergy between NSCDC and the military adding thay, this has help in combating crimes and criminality in Kogi State.
Speaking earlier, the Nigeria Army 12 Brigade Commander Kogi State, Brig Gen HI Dasuki, appreciated the State Commandant for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.
Brig Gen Dasuki who acknowledge NSCDC statutory mandate , pledged his support for the success of the State Command in Kogi State.
Brig Gen Dasuki solicited the cooperation of NSCDC in the area of intelligence shearing, stating that "no Security agency can do it alone. As Security agencies, we all have one goal, which is the protection lives and property in the land".
