The National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG, has described the appointment and subsequent swearing - in of four Itsekiri indigenes into the Delta state executive council by the state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwrori as symbolic of God hearing the prayers of Itsekiri Nation in particular and Delta state as a whole.
Four commissioners of Itsekiri extraction; Dr. Isaac Tosan Wilkie, Hon. Samuel Oligida, Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro and Orode Uduaghan, were among 26 commissioners sworn - in Tuesday August 22 by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwrori.

Whilst Dr. Isaac Wilkie, was assigned the portfolio of Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Samuel Oligida, from Warri South - West Local Government Area, got the governor's nod to serve as Commissioner for Trade and Investments. Orode Uduaghan, daughter of former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, was assigned the portfolio of Commissioner, Girl - Child Entrepreneurship and Humanitarian Support Services, with President of Itsekiri National Youths Council, INYC, Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, taking the responsibility of overseeing youth development in the state.

President of NAIG, Comrade Ben Eburajolo in a statement issued in Warri, Delta State, Wednesday August 23 on behalf of the apex Itsekiri graduates' body, asserted that the names; Orode, which means blessing/ prosperity have come, Samuel, meaning God has heard and Isaac; one who laughs or rejoices, represent better days and years ahead for Delta state and Itsekiri Nation in particular.

Eburajolo, posited that Hon. Oligida, will breathe life into the Delta State Ministry of Trade and Investments and Dr. Isaac Wilkie, will positively change the dynamics in the State Ministry of Water Resources.
" Anyone, who has closely followed Orode Uduaghan, would agree that she is the perfect fit for the position of Hon. Commissioner, Girl - Child Entrepreneurship and Humanitarian Support Services. The competence and eloquence of Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro as Itsekiri youth leader, particularly his relationship with other ethnic youth leaders across the country, attest to the fact that His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwrori, Executive Governor of the state, made the right pick," Eburajolo, opined.
