100 Days in Office: Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated that Delta is not safe for criminal elements – Tidi

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, says Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, has demonstrated that Delta State is not safe for criminal elements, “hence, relative peace is being enjoyed across the state.”

Dr. Tidi, who made the declaration in a statement released Thursday September 7, to mark Governor Oborevwori’s 100 days in Office, averred: “On the attainment of 100 days in office, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has fulfilled the real reason behind the idea of 100 days by its originator.

“They include key policy pronouncements, critical appointments, and the review and unfolding of strategy for enduring and sustainable development.

“The governor has demonstrated that Delta State is not safe for criminal elements. Hence, relative peace is being enjoyed across the state.

“He has kept to his promise of running an all-inclusive government, thereby reducing political hostility and promoting patriotism in the state.

“His Excellency's prompt payment of salaries, amongst other accrued rights, has not only put the workers in a pride of place, but also gave the hope that other outstanding payments will soon be settled.

“I must not fail to laud the efforts of the governor for youths, as demonstrated through the inclusion of sizable numbers in his cabinet, as well as the approval for recruitments of teachers in virtually all the council areas that made up the state.

“Equally worthy of highlighting was how governor Oborevwori got on the speed line with the approval of several projects during the maiden State Executive Council meeting.

“While we can go on and on in His Excellency's 100 days of solid foundation-laying, we believe these are strong starters for better things to come.

“I want to commend the governor for building on the achievements of his predecessor.

“One unique and comforting fact is that of His Excellency's clear resolve to make use of Delta State’s human resources from any part of the world, regardless of political affiliations. This, indeed, is the hallmark of true statesmen.

“I urged all residents, especially civil and public servants, to continuously and unconditionally support the governor in his vision and mission to move the state to the next level.

“I equally implore Mr. governor to remain focused on his MORE-Agenda and shun political shenanigans from sore losers.”
