Society of Petroleum Engineers, SPE, Warri explains Ember months campaigns on safety applications

The Section Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, SPE, Warri, Delta State, Dr. Eddy Okoh, says members of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, SPE, Warri, embarked on Ember months campaigns on good road usage and other safety applications to motorists and other stakeholders, to educate people more about the spirit behind the season.

 

Dr. Okoh, noted that the Society of Petroleum Engineer SPE Section 104, Warri, Annual Safety Awareness Campaign Tagged: "Ember Month road safety and Security awareness" was designed to positively impact private and commercial drivers in Warri and Delta State at large.

 

Our Principal Correspondent, reports that the campaign, which began with drivers and motorists at the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute, PTI, Effurun, emphasized the importance of safety and good road usage, most especially in the Ember periods and months ahead.

 

The programme was organized in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC Special Marshall Unit 26 PTI, with a lecture presented by the Deputy Unit Coordinator, Marshall Onyia Josiah.

 

While commending the members of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, SPE Section 104, the Principal/CEO of PTI, Dr. Henry Adimula, praised the sensitization campaign, saying it positively impacted staffers of the institution.

 

This year's event had Dr. Adetona as the Organizing Committee Chairman, while the SPE Admin, Mrs. Thessy Ibaga, acted as the Secretary.
