Rotary Club of Osubi, under District 9141 of Rotary International, is to sustain its investment in healthcare, education and water project in the 2023/ 2024 Rotary year.
Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that this much was disclosed Saturday October 21 at Osubi in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta state, by Rotarian Edwin Ijoni, during his investiture as the 14th President of Rotary Club of Osubi.
Rotarian Edwin Ijoni, unveiled his plans for the Rotary year, which is in tandem with the goals of Rotary International,“Create hope in the World”.

He said :“Some of the projects I intend to embark upon are: donation of medical equipment to Osubi health center, free medical test for residents in Osubi,grant full scholarship to a Rotaractor in the Petroleum Training Institute, construction of water pumps for Osubi community, Membership development and retention amongst other
“I hereby humbly and passionately crave your unwavering support to help me succeed, give generously to the cause of Rotary.Rotary may be the only source of hope for the countless underprivileged people in our neighborhood”
Rotarian Ijoni had earlier said during an interview on the sideline, that he is out to contribute his quota to the betterment of society and will build on the successes of the outgoing president.

He stated that he had already begun his duty by donating educational materials to Okene primary school in Okuokoko, constructed two mono pumps in Mechanic village, Effurun as well as donated delivery kits to pregnant women in Ovwain health center.
He, called for assistance and cooperation of members of the club, friends and the public to shoulder the outlined projects through substantial donations, partnerships or corporate sponsorships.
Meanwhile, the immediate past president of the club Rotn. Nosa Ogie, in his address called on members of the club to give more support to the newly inducted president.

He listed some of the achievements of his service year to include, donation of educational materials to Okerekoko Secondary School, and a hand driven tricycle to a physical challenge student of same school Master Moses Onoriode.
Free Screening of over 100 men and women for prostrate and cervical cancer, including free treatment of those with early symptoms.
Also the club, in collaboration with Rotary Club Warri Central, Ogunu, Edjeba, Plantation, and Effurun gave the Eku Leprosarium Centre, a brand new complete cassava processing unit, rehabilitated the town hall and the old Cassava processing mill.
In addition, the Osubi Rotary Club in conjunction with Oghara Rotary club donated medical equipment to the Delta State Teaching Hospital Oghara and donation of Educational materials to Obanosa primary and secondary schools respectively in Edo State.
Other activities at the event include, presentations of awards to deserving members as well as induction of new members
