Enough is enough, says Tidi as he visits victims of Ogbe-Ijoh main market fire outbreak

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr Michael Tidi, has said that enough is enough on the incessant fire or

outbreak at Ogbe-Ijoh main market, vowing that he will get to the root cause is the matter.

 

Ogbe-Ijoh Main Market has been notorious for it's incessant fire outbreak which has caused untold hardship for traders in the market where goods and property worth millions of naira have always been destroyed every year.

 

Again, many shops were razed in a fire outbreak at Ogbe-Ijoh main market on Wednesday night December 7th, 2023.

The Warri South Council Chairman who visited the market to access the level of damage done on Thursday, however vowed that he was going to do everything within his power to unravel the cause of the fire.

 

The chairman who was represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr Joseph Oribioye, noted that the fire incident has become one to many times and that they have to find a lasting solution to the problem.

 

While empathizing with the victims of the fire incident, the Council Chairman urged the traders not to take laws into their hands just as he commended them for the way and manner, they have handled the incident so far.

 

 "I bring greetings from the chairman. He has asked me to tell you that he is not happy with what has just happened here. These things have been happening too many times and he is greatly pained.

"He has asked me to tell you to take heart because these things that have happened did not only happen to you but to all of us in Warri South.

 

"The chairman has promised that he will get to the root of this matter. Enough is enough," Mr. Oribioye said.
