The Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has presented cheques worth N63, 361, 902.37k to next of Kins of 30 Police Officers, who died in active service in Kogi State.
The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) SP William Ovye Aya , in statement on Thursday said the cheque was presented by the State Commissioner of Police Onuoha Bethrand on behalf of the IGP.
Aya, quoted the Commissioner of Police to have appreciated the Inspector General of Police for his kind gesture, just as he appealed to the families to make good use of the money to better their lives.
" The beneficiaries thanked the IGP and the State Police Command for the support and assured the Police of judicious use of the money" the statement added.
