The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic Dr. Salisu Usman Ogbo, has called on Nigerians to amplify peace and unity which symbolizes the birth of Jesus Christ.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Dr. Ogbo, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday while felicitating with Christians worldwide to celebrate Christmas admonished Nigerians to reflect positively on the teaching of Christ.
While rejoicing with the Christian faithfuls in the institution, the State and Nigeria as a whole on this year's occasion of Christmas celebration, Dr Ogbo said " we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, it is my prayer that we take inspiration from his life and teachings and show unconditional love, empathy and compassion to all.
"I also enjoin us to use the moment to reflect on our shared responsibilities in the overall interest of peace and advancement of humanity. May the eternal love and compassion espoused by Jesus Christ guide us now and always.
"Once again, I wish you Merry Christmas and God's abundant blessings throughout the Yuletide and beyond".
