Board of Ajaokuta neighborhood watch calls for support on community policing, celebrates Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan

group under the auspices of  Ajaokuta Neighborhood Watch has called on Government at all level, well to do individuals to support community policing in a bid to de-escalate kidnapping along  Lokoja-Ajaokuta- Geregu-Itobe road in Kogi State.

It could be recalled that, combined security operatives comprising the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force and local vigilantes,  this weekend rescued 24 kidnapped victims at Adogo, under Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Stressing the need to curtail the activities of criminal elements across the State, the group in a statement signed by SP S. Egbejene Rtd. on Monday called for support for vigilante activities along the Lokoja-Ajaokuta-Geregu-Itobe route and for creation of shelters at the flash points for patrolling the area, to deescalate kidnapping, which resurged in the area recently, when one young lady lost her life  and many women and children kidnapped.

Egbejene, however, applauded the success recorded by the lawmaker representing Kogi Central in the National Assembly Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in lighting up Okene township in a very short span while serving her people.

"Ajaokuta Neighborhood Watch believes that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan will do very well in the advocacy for the development of the constituency.

"The Board of Ajaokuta Neighborhood Watch wishes to draw the attention of the distinguished Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to the lack of operational vehicles by the C Division of the Ganaja and the Ajaokuta Police Commands.

"The Board wishes the Distinguished Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan the best of the new year "the statement added.
