Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area in Delta state, Dr. Michael Tidi, has raised alarm over plot by a desperate chairmanship aspirant ( name withheld) in the forthcoming local government poll, to smear him and impugn the hard - earned reputation of University of Ibadan and Benson Idahosa University.
In a statement released on his behalf last night by Four Pillars Law Firm, Dr. Tidi, asserted that the allegation that he bribed his way through at Benson Idahosa University and the prestigious University of Ibadan, was a figment of imagination of " the columnist, which can not be substantiated ."
Whilst stressing how he successfully completed his law programme at the Nigerian Law School, Dr. Tidi, challenged the person behind the defamatory post on social media, to come to the open to make his unfounded allegations.
He urged members of the public, to " disregard such falsehood and propaganda being peddled by some disgruntled politicians, whose stock in trade, is to discredit others, in order to gain undue political advantage. "
