Delta LG Poll: Odeli carpets pseudo groups, criticizing Governor Oborevwori, Okowa, other leaders over the choice of PDP Chairmanship candidates
Mr. David Odeli

Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri North Local Government Area, Mr. David Odeli, has brushed aside what he described as blackmail against Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the immediate past governor of the state, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa by “ pseudo groups" criticizing the reported adoption of PDP Chairmanship candidates in some local government areas, ahead of the forthcoming July 13 Delta State Local Government poll.

A report trending online since last night by ‘Action Caucus’ has warned that except the National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP call the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to order, over his alleged overbearing tendency on the party and plans to impose council chairmen in the forthcoming LG poll, the party may snowball into crisis that will consume it in Delta state.

Odeli, in a telephone interview, today, Thursday May 16, advised mischief makers not to create unnecessary strife between Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as well as former governors Ifeanyi Okowa and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan. Whilst commending Governor Oborevwori, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and other leaders of the PDP across the three senatorial districts of the state, “for acting in good fate as regards the ongoing adoption of chairmanship candidates,"

Odeli, noted: “It is time for genuine PDP leaders and members in the state , to close ranks with the party's chairmanship and councillorship candidates that will be elected across the state, to ensure that the party consolidate its dominance of the state, win the July 13 election landslide and deliver the kind of grassroots governance people of the various local government areas yearn for.”
