The National Convener of Ododo Sure Movement (OSM) world-wide, Alhaji Ibrahim Isa-Amoka, has described the Election Tribunal Judgement of May, 27th 2024 as a landmark that will shape the political arithmetic of the state.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that he reiterated that the historical judgment shows that no single ethnic group among the three major ones(Egbira, Igala and Okun) in the state can single handedly win governorship election without the support of others.
He said, " The much ochestrated and desired powershift has naturally come to stay to give peace, unity, oneness and the much desired development of the state a chance".
He therefore called on the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Alhaji Murtala Ajaka and by extension the Igala's to accept the defeat as a divine intervention that now give hope to other tribes that they would be carried along in the administration of the state.
Alhaji Ibrahim Isa-Amoka, the former Clerk of Kogi State House of Assembly, Congratulate the state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on his victory at the tribunal and urged him to imbibed the spirit of " No Victor, No Vanquished " in order to be able to give much dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
Speaking on the indelible achievements of the Governor within his short period in office, he commended him for capping the state as a pace-setter in the committee of states in the country. "With his geometric achievements so far, the foundation for his second term is already laid down", he said.
Alhaji Amoka, who is also the state Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), advised the governor to appoint only those with professional acumen, undiluted loyalty and detribalized persons with capacity to deliver in order to take the state to the next level.
He commended the state party Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello (aka Dollar); Alh. Hadi Ametou; Alhaji Shaibu Oricha; Director General, Government House; Engr. Adams Onotu,; a businessman and different campaign organisations among others for the role they played before, during and after the last election.
