Authorities of Warri South Local Government Council in Delta state, have launched inquest into the property developer ( s) responsible for destroying a section of the kerb along the NPA Expressway, after the Ogunu Flyover in Warri.
Warri South Council Head of Environment Department, Mrs. Stella Mode, who led an Officer in the department and the Council's Chief Information Officer, Mr. Ebule Anthony Metsese, to access the extent of what seems like deliberate destruction of the kerb, said her attention was drawn to the ugly development weekend.
The stretch of kerb being destroyed by the unknown person ( s) measured between three to four metres.

When the Council Officials got to the scene at about 11:00 am Thursday June 6, armoured cables and pipes originally inside the kerb, were exposed, as a result of the destruction, seemingly targeted at creating an illegitimate access to a fenced land, being developed.
One Engr. Sunday Kehinde Alabi, who spoke to the Warri South Council delegation from a nearby property where construction was ongoing, absolved Lee Engineering from destruction of the kerb.
There was no one inside the fenced undeveloped land facing the section where the kerb was destroyed, while a pillar carrying BEDC high tension cables in the section, appeared to have been deliberately shifted to pave way for further action on the kerb. Angered by the ugly development, Mrs. Stella Mode, vowed that the Council will fish out the person (s) responsible for the destruction and ensure the law takes its course.
