Delta CP restates resolve to partner stakeholders towards sustenance of peace, justice

Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Zanna M Ibrahim has restated the Command’s willingness and determination to partner with all stakeholders to sustain the prevailing peace and justice in Delta State.

The CP gave the assurance at his office in the Command Headquarters, Asaba, when members of the Delta State Conflict Management Alliance, DSCMA paid him a courtesy/advocacy visit.

The State Police Boss who was enthused that Deltans from all walks of life are demonstrating a renewed interest, confidence and trust in the police under his watch, expressed unfettered readiness to  work with DSCMA and other well meaning groups to champion the course of peace and justice in the state.

Responding, spokesperson for DSCMA drew the attention of the CP to a case involving Oviore/Eku women.

The women were allegedly flogged by some security agencies providing security to Presco Company Limited, Warri during their protest march sometime last year.

According to a statement released to Fresh Angle International by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command DSP. ANDREW ANIAMAKA, the group pledged to work together with the police and other relevant agencies in addressing issues of conflicts in the State.
