Multi-dimensional businessman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State, Chief Ayirimi Emami, has hit state governors afresh, accusing them of using state resources to buy dollars for personal purposes, instead of appropriating the resources for the good of citizens of their states.

 

 

 

 

Our Principal Correspondent, reports that Chief Emami, who also spoke vehemently against the call for state police, blamed insecurity in the country on the resistance against local government autonomy by state governors.

 

The Warri-born ace politician and prime promoter of the Itsekiri culture and tradition, spoke Monday July 8, at Ogbe-Ijoh in Warri South-West Local Government Area and Koko in Warri North Local Government Area, during campaign rallies held by the All Progressives Congress, ahead of the Delta State Local Government election slated for this Saturday July 13.

Whilst urging APC faithful and supporters to throw their unwavering support behind the Warri South-West APC chairmanship candidate, Hon. Amb. Mamamu Bene Youkore, the APC chairmanship candidate for Warri North Local Government Area, Chief Samuel Omamuli and the party’s councillorship candidates in the two local government areas, Chief Emami, described Hon. Mamamu, as a reliable, capable and competent person.

 

Chief Emami, said the immediate past chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area performed abysmally for six years, blaming former governor of the state for handpicking him to administer the local government area.

 

He charged the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC to conduct free, fair and credible election come Saturday, just as he called on the electorates to resist any attempt to write results.

The Chairmanship Candidate for Warri South-West, Amb. Mamamu Bene Youkore and his Warri North counterpart, Chief Samuel Omamuli, commended Chief Emami and other party chieftains for their support, stressing the need for DSIEC to be transparent before and during the poll.

 

They assured the electorates of governance that would improve infrastructural development, education and other forms of human capital development, if given the mandate to govern the local government areas.

 

Fresh Angle International can report that the two local government campaign rallies, featured presentation of APC flag by the APC Delta South Senatorial District Chairman, Austin Oribioye to the Chairmanship Candidates.

 

Former member of Delta State House of Assembly and leader of APC in Uvwie Local Government Area, Hon. Efe Ofobruku, Chairman of APC in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Collins Ebieto, Hon. Victor Omunu, Hon. Tekedor, David Omare, Smart Edema, Ari Ari, Jerry Omunu and the 20 Ward Councillorship candidates, were among chieftains of APC present, during the campaign rally at Ogbe-Ijoh.

Chief Michael Odeli, Comrade Omatseye Akatakpo, Hon. Yerin Agbainfo, SSA to Senator Joel Thomas Onowakpor, (JOT), Hon. Tosan Oyowe, Hon. Besidone, Hon. Siko Eyenmi and Hon. Olugbangba as well as the 20 Ward Councillorship candidates of APC in Warri North Local Government Area, were on ground during the rally in Koko.
