Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has charged the new 25 local government chairmen in the state, to shun wasteful spending and extravagant lifestyles.
Governor Oborevwori, who gave the charge earlier today, Monday July 15, during the swearing in ceremony of the 25 newly elected Council Bosses at Asaba, advised them to embrace modesty, fiscal discipline, prudent management, judicious allocation of resources and excellent project delivery.
The governor, extended his profound appreciation to the " good people of Delta State, who despite the heavy downpour, came out and voted."
Whilst urging the chairmen to reciprocate the" mandate given to them by the electorates ", Governor Oborevwori admonished the Council Chief Security Officers, to give preference to the needs and aspirations of the people, with the aim of delivering good governance.
