Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, has called for progressive bye-laws that would move Warri South forward, as Hon. Joy Ejumudo of the Okere-Urhobo axis of Warri South Local Government Area, emerges the first female Leader of Warri South Council Legislative Arm.

Comrade Agbateyiniro, who made the call Wednesday July 17, after proclaiming the 8th Assembly of Warri South Local Government Council, noted: “Our predecessors (past elected and appointed political office holder) had contributed their quotas toward the development of Warri South Local Government Area, now the mandate has been handed over to us all to play our part toward lifting this local government to a loftier height.”

Whilst assuring that the mandate given to them will not be allowed to slip off their hands, without using it judiciously, the Warri South Council Boss, stressed that his administration will be all-inclusive.

A returnee Councilor, Hon. Emma Egbe, was elected the Deputy Leader of the 8th Assembly of the Warri South Local Government Council, following plenary conducted by the Clerk of the House, Comrade Godfrey Affor Maku.
