The Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, Pere Williams Nairaseigha Ogoba, Oboro Gbaraun II has warned his subjects against environmental pollution, all forms of illegal activities and lawlessness.
The Gbaramatu Monarch handed down the warning when he visited Kokodiagbene Community Wednesday February 15 as part of his tour of communities that make up his Kingdom.
He admonished youths in his domain to shun cultism, saying it is a taboo to Ijaw Nation.
While urging his subjects to learn to live in peace as well as inter marry with neighbouring communities so as to foster unity and development, the Monarch charged multinational oil companies operating in Warri South-West Local Government Area to live up to their social responsibilities towards their host communities.
Earlier in his address, Chairman of Kokodiagbene Community, Comrade Sheriff Mulade appealed to Pere Ogoba to prevail on Oil and Gas Major, Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC to complete the over one billion naira Riverine Cottage Hospital in Kokodiagbene abandoned couple of years ago.
