The member representing Okehi in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanni Kekere Abdulkareem has assured his constituents that no genuine staff will be retrenched from the Kogi State civil service as a result of the on-going staff audit.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Hon. Kekere gave the assurance Monday February 20 at the Government House in Lokoja while addressing over 200 civil servants from Okehi Local Government Area who appeared before the Screening and Appeal Committee.
The lawmaker maintained that the intention of Governor Yahaya Bello administration was not to inflict pains on kogites, but to liberate the state from the scourge of sharp practices which has bedeviled its development since it was created in 1991.
According to him, civil servants who present fake certificate, falsified document (s) or impersonate will be handed over to law enforcement agency.
