The Modern Itsekiri People's Club, MIPC, a group comprising patriotic Itsekiris dedicated to the infrastructural development, economic growth and defense of Warri Kingdom, has called on Itsekiri sons and daughters across the world, to rally round The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, so as to usher in steady human capital development of Iwere Nation.
The call by MIPC, was contained in a goodwill message to felicitate the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III on the occasion of his 3rd coronation anniversary.
In the message, which was e-signed by MIPC’s Chairman and Secretary, Blessing Atseyinku and Amaju Inojulagho, respectively, they urged all well-meaning Itsekiris and friends of the kingdom, to partner with individuals, state and federal governments as well as corporate bodies to enhance development in the rural and urban areas of Warri Kingdom.
The group, noted: “We are echelon of persons scattered around the continents of the world, pro preachers and campaigners for development, economic growth and staunch defenders of the Warri Kingdom.
“MIPC encourages all sons and daughters of the Itsekiri patrimony, to rally around the Olu of Warri and the Iwere people, by promoting scholarships in our secondary and tertiary institutions, which will bring about steady human capital development.
“MIPC has been leading by example in terms of award of scholarships to students of secondary schools across the kingdom. For example, there is an ongoing scholarship project to students of Erejuwa Grammar School, Ode-Itsekiri that has spanned the last 3 years.”
“The One Man, One Child” project, is another human capital development project of MIPC, that would soon come to fruition.
“We also enjoin well-meaning Itsekiris and friends of the Kingdom, to partner with individuals, state and federal government, corporate bodies to enhance development in our rural and urban areas.
“We are proud to have an Olu of Warri, who has led from the front and showcased that social and cultural development, encourages trade that leads to better opportunities for the people, which is a catalyst for peace and of course the bedrock of economic development.
“Congratulations once more to Warri Kingdom, for a successful, progressive three years reign and still counting of “Our Pride” OGIAME ATUWATSE III.”
