A group, the Iwere Royal Society, last night presented a drama piece at Ode - Itsekiri in Warri South Local Government Area, entertaining the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and his subjects, as the Monarch 's 3rd coronation anniversary entered day 4.
The drama titled,"Echoes of our ancestry" depicts how the Itsekiri people migrated from Ife to Abomeh, ilaje and settled in Ode-Itsekiri, as their ancestral home.

Fresh Angle International can report that the drama was presented before the reverred Monarch, his Queen and array of some Itsekiri chiefs at the palace hall, Ode-Itsekiri.
In an interview with Our Correspondent, the group's Stage Manager, Pastor Oritseweyimi Jerry Otuedon, explained that the story was how Ureju came to be.

According to him, Ureju is one of the harbouring communities. So,we have to show how the people of Ureju came into existence, starting from Ife and how they migrated and travelled along the event that happened within the way. How they got married and how the children took leadership, until they got to a place known as Abomeh."

The Olu of Warri Kingdom, HRM. Ogiame Atuwatse III offered prayers for the group. He said the drama piece will take them to places. He added that whatever their heart desires are, they will get it.
