Rotary International on Saturday February 25, celebrated 112 years of existence and 100 years of The Rotary International Foundation, the arm of Rotary International committed to doing good towards the development of mankind across the world.
President of Rotary Club of Warri,District 9140, Rotarian Dan Agbofode who led other Rotarians to the Rotary Beautification edifice at Angle Park Junction in Warri,Delta State,noted that the essence of the celebration was to create more awareness on the humanitarian activities of Rotary International in general and Rotary Club of Warri in particular.
He told Fresh Angle International in an exclusive chat that the edifice at Angle Park Round -About in the Oil City of Warri, was erected 12 years ago when Rotary International celebrated 100 years of existence.
Apart from Rotary's contributions toward the eradication of Polio, Malaria and other health challenges, Rotary Club of Warri recently embarked on the construction of physiotherapy project at the Central Hospital, Warri.
Our Correspondent reports that highlight of the celebration was cutting off the 112 years of existence / 100 years of The Rotary Foundation Cake by Rotarian Dan Agbofode, immediate past President of Rotary Club of Warri, Rotarian Griftson Omatsuli, Rotarian Akatakpo, Rotarian Edun and other prominent Rotarians in District 9140, Nigeria.
