Warri North Chairman, Ashima assures Tsekelewu leaders of adequate security ahead  youth election of the community

The Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area in Delta State. Hon. Festus Ani Ashima, has assured elders and leaders of Tsekelewu Community of his administration 's readiness to provide adequate security ahead of the youth election in the community.

 

Our Warri North Correspondent, reports that the Warri North Chief Security Officer, gave the assurance today in Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area, during a meeting with leaders of Tsekelewu Community. Hon. Ashima said the major thrust of his administration, is to sustain the existing peace in Warri North, in - line with the M O R E Agenda of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

 

The Council Boss, declared: "Without peace, there will be no meaningful development, hence my penchant for sustainable peace in the council area, is not negotiable."

 

The President -General of Tsekelwu Community, Dr Abulu Bright, who earlier appealed to the Council Boss for support in the area of security during the election, said the presence of the security agencies will help to coordinate a hitch free and fair election.

 

The Councilor representing Tsekelewu area in Warri North Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Hon. Laju Areyenka, pleaded with Hon. Ashima to provide peaceful atmosphere for conduct of the election, just as the various aspirants in the impending community youth poll, singed peace accord.

 

Appreciating the Council Chairman for his tenacity of purpose, Chief Richard Aboh, promised that they will ensure a peaceful and transparent election.

 

Representatives of the various security agencies in the area also assured Hon. Ashima of their readiness to ensure the election is conducted in a peaceful atmosphere.

 

The Head of Legal Department of Warri North Local Government Council, Barr.Ola. Nanna, was among officials of the council, that witnessed signing of the peace accord.
