Egbo condemns display of wares on the road, leads sanitation exercise to check environmental hazards

The Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Olorogun (Barr.) Jaro Movudu Egbo, has condemned the display of wares on the road by traders, saying over 200 market stalls remain vacant in major markets in Ughelli.                         

 

The Ughelli North Local Government Boss, who expressed his displeasure Saturday September 28 while monitoring the monthly environmental sanitation exercise, noted that his administration was focused on deep cleaning of public spaces and drainage systems, to tackle environmental hazards.                      

 

According to him, the effort is crucial in managing water flow across market drainages and addressing the challenges of flood in the area.                                          

 

Our Ughelli North Bureau Chief, reports that Olorogun Egbo, monitored the exercise in key locations such as Otovwodo Community Market, Shop Fair Mall and Wilma's Filling Station.                                          

 

The Ughelli North Chairman, announced that the clean up exercise will continue in the coming days, with emphasis on clearing of drains and other water channels.                          

 

The Vice Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Chief (Mrs.) Maggy Atano, Leader of Ughelli North Council Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Okeoghene Prosper Ajero, the Council's Supervisor for Environment and Beautification, Hon. Lucky Oborayeruvwe and Chief of Staff to Barr. Egbo, Prince Elvis Oharisi, were among prominent officials of Ughelli North Local Government Council that joined Olorogun Egbo during monitoring of the environmental sanitation exercise.
