Oromoni presents 2024 supplementary budget of N1.6 billion to Warri South-West Legislature

The Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, has presented a draft estimate of one billion, six hundred and forty-three thousand, three hundred and ten naira, seventy- two kobo (N1,643,310,072) to the Warri South-West Legislative Arm as 2024 Supplementary Budget.

Our Warri South-West Bureau Chief, reports that the amount which is made up of (N1,385,000,000) capital expenditure and (N258,310,072) recurrent expenditure, was presented to the Legislative Arm for consideration and approval Monday October 7.

The Warri South-West Council Boss, stated: “It is with gratitude to God Almighty that I welcome you all to the 2024 Supplementary Budget presentation of Warri South West Local Government Council to the Legislative Arm. Budget presentation is a very important aspect of any financial system of any tier of the Government. I wish to congratulate all members of the Legislative house for your success at the Local Government Election. We have to work together to the development of the Local Government.

“You may wish to recall that the Federal Government had approved N70,000 minimum wage, and our amiable Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori had set up implementation Committee to ensure its implementation in the state.

“Also, in-line with the MORE agenda of His Excellency, there is need to embark on meaningful infrastructure development in the Local Government, the environmental cleanliness of the Local Government, security and making the Local Government conducive during this fuel hike.
