Authorities of Warri South Local Government Council, have released three rapid response contacts for residents of Warri to contact in the event of possible environmental hazards and overflowing wastes in their areas.
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, had on Thursday November 14, during the launch of Operation Keep Warri Clean Initiative, urged residents of Warri South Local Government Area, to report environmental hazards to the Council authority, whenever and wherever it's noticed, to enable the authorities take immediate action.
Warri South Council Head of Environment Department, Mrs. Stella Mode, in a statement Friday November 22, stressed that residents of Warri South Local Government Area, should call any member of the Warri South Local Government Council Waste Management Rapid Response team, whenever there are cases of overflowing wastes, to enable the Council detail the relevant collectors for immediate evacuation.
According to her, there are 42 Waste Collectors, otherwise known as PSPs registered with the Delta State Waste Management Board, to operate in Warri South Local Government Area. Mrs. Mode, mentioned the names and contacts of the Warri South Local Government Council Waste Management Rapid Response team as : Hon. Femi Okorodiden, Supervisor for Environment ( 08030438206) Mr. Bodjor Lucky, PSP Chairman, Warri South ( 08054238646) and Mrs. Stella Mode, HoD Environment ( 08023811724).
