For the second time in one week, lawmakers in the Kogi State House of Assembly have failed to hold sitting due to absence of power supply, leading to excessive heat in the Chamber.
The 6th Assembly rely mostly on generator to power its building due to epileptic power supply in the state capital.
The Majority Leader, Mathew Kolawole who moved for an adjournment on Wednesday, March 15 could not hide his feeling on the stuffy nature of the chamber.
Our Kogi State Correspondent gathered that the generator powering the Chamber has been faulty as effort to fix it failed to yield result.
This prompted the Speaker, Rt. Honourable Ahmed Imam to rule on the suspension of three motions which was scheduled for deliberation on Wednesday.
The Assembly resolved to reconvene tomorrow, Thursday March 16 with the hope that the power outage leading to excessive heat which had previously stalled sittings will be fixed.
