Opuoru thanks Oborevwori for appointing Venture Daniels, member of Delta State Procurement Commission

The Special Adviser on Environment to the Delta State Governor, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru today thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing Chief (Comrade) Venture Daniels Eveerhamre as member of Delta State Procurement Commission. 

Hon. Opuoru appreciated Governor Oborevwori during a reception organized by Chief Evwerhamre at Bendel Estate, in Uvwie Local Government Area, yesterday, Friday December 6.

He said, "We are celebrating victory for His Excellency, victory for Warri South Constituency II because he was kind enough to give Our Comrade, Venture Daniels an appointment as a member of Procurement Board. He was sworn-in on Wednesday and we decided that we have to just have fun."

"He was gracious to tell me that, leader I want to have your venue as the reception venue to honour you as his immediate leader. That's why we are here."

Hon. Opuoru said Governor Oborevwori's M.O.R.E Agenda is unlimited saying,he has done exceedingly well with it for the State.

According to him,"Look at the Julius Berger bridge. Look at Enerhen junction, look at all the roads. Rapid construction extra-ordinaire. He is a great leader, a great governor and he has done well. I want to thank him for a job well done."

Earlier,the member of the Delta State Procurement Commission, Chief (Comrade) Venture Daniels Evwerhamre in an interview with Our Correspondent said the reception is thank Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing him to serve in the board. 

"Our Governor is a man of clear vision. His Agenda is simple. The M.O.R.E Agenda. He is talking about meaningful development,opportunity for all, realistic reform and enhanced security and peace. Everything is encompassed in just one word. He has a vision and so far, if you look at the meaningful development, for the first time, we are seeing gigantic buildings springing up in Delta State. This has never happened. These are merger projects. If you look at peace today in Delta State, it's something else. Something you cannot compare with what has been happening and realistic reforms, it's clear opportunity for all. 

"Look at me today being given the opportunity to serve in my own capacity coming from the civil society. So, you know what it means.

"This is a very, very clear vision from His Excellency. This appointment is to serve Delta State. It's Procurement. It's to ensure the Procurement bill followed. The Governor made it clear that every parastatals should follow the bill accordingly.

"Okere-Urhobo is a very wonderful place and I tell you, a lot is going to happen. The Governor has appointed very key potentials into the board. With me coming to join on board, I tell you, a lot is going to happen."

Chief Evwerhamre also appealed to the leaders of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom to continue with their supports for Governor Oborevwori to enable him achieve his set agenda in due time. 

He also thanked the Okere-Urhobo leaders especially Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru for his fatherly roles and political supports he has been giving him.

He said, Hon. Opuoru is a "wonderful man with clear vision. He is a energy and strong drive. He is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment and so far, he has been doing well. I want to thank the Warri South Local Government Chairman, I want to thank all the leaders. They're all doing well."
