Former Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Dr. Godwin Toritseju Ebosa, has disowned the Niger Delta Liberation Movement, NDLM, otherwise known as MOVEMENT, saying: “How will they nominate me, how can I mediate on behalf of people I don't know?”
The Niger Delta Liberation Movement, NDLM, had in an electronic mail sent to Fresh Angle International at exactly 5:19, Monday December 16, announced the indefinite suspension of ' Operation Chevron Dragnet', naming Chief Rita Lori – Ogbebor, Dr. Godwin Ebosa and four other prominent Itsekiris as mediators, that would dialogue with Chevron Nigeria Limited, government and other stakeholders on the way forward
In the electronic statement, ascribed to its Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Tagbanaraewumi, NDLM, recalled how it launched the Operation Chevron Dragnet on Friday November 22,2024, blasting " multiple pipelines along Olero - Dibi - Abiteye Fields / Flow stations, at about 2:00 am."
Dr. Ebosa, in a telephone chat with This Soaring International Tabloid, this evening, Tuesday December 17, said: “Somebody just drew my attention to a publication from your media end, where they said, me, Chief Rita Lori-Ogbebor, Mofe Pirah, some other people, were nominated to be mediators to MOVEMENT.
“How I wan take go mediate for faceless group. I don't know them. I want peace to reign and want Chevron to employ as many people from this area, I have condemned the act (the pipeline blast) before.”
