“I want to start by acknowledging the fact that by strength, shall no man prevail. When we started this race, though very demanding, putting pressure on every part of this local government, from the executive arm to the legislative arm.
“To all the departments, the pressure was visible. Nobody slept more than 2 or 3 hours per day. Today, we are living witness to the result of our tireless work within a few months.
“This is what democracy is all about. We see this as opportunity to radically revolutionise what local administration is all about in this country.
“When we stepped into this office, we were mindful of the fact that there will be competition among the other local governments in the country.

“To add to what you have captured there, we have also recently flagged -off the construction of a bridge. We have made up our minds that building a bridge by the local government, is possible. This to us is what service is all about.”
