The President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Delta South and Central Senatorial Districts, Chief Jude Dozie has cautioned against acts capable of truncating the prevailing peace among Igbos in Delta South and Central.
Chief Jude Dozie handed down the warning Tuesday March 21 at Governor’s Office Annex in Warri, Delta State during a meeting convened by Francis Onuora, Special Assistant on Non-Indigenes’ Affairs to Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
Our Senior Correspondent reports that the meeting had in attendance, representatives of Ndigbo Political Forum from Delta Central and South Senatorial districts.
The Ohaneze Ndigbo Chieftain called on Igbos to work in unism so as to attract the much needed support from Delta State Government.
Convener of the meeting and Special Assistant on Non-Indigenes’ Affairs to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Nze Francis Onuora declared that “there is sustainable peace and progress across Delta State, irrespective of the part people live”.
While listing the Governor’s achievements to include road construction in all the three senatorial districts of Delta State, creation of youth empowerment programmes, including Non-Deltans, increased peace and security as well as promotion of peaceful co-existence, Nze Onuorah assured members of Ndigbo Political Forum that Dr. Okowa is always with Ndigbo”.
He appealed to Igbos in Delta South and Central as well as members of Ndigbo Political Forum to continue to work in one accord in order to get more recognition from the State government.
A staunch member of Ndigbo Political Forum, Chief Tony Okoro (Jnr.) appealed to the Delta State Governor to consider appointing Igbo into his cabinet, among other relevant positions.
