Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Environment, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, has called for concerted effort to tackle environmental pollution.
Fresh Angle International, understands that the Governor’s Adviser, gave the charge at Asaba, Thursday January 16, during a one-day workshop, organized by his office, to work out a blueprint, geared towards addressing the challenge of environmental pollution.
The former lawmaker, stressed the importance of collaboration and utilizing the knowledge shared during the event, to significantly enhance the state’s environmental landscape and ultimately transform it into a major tourism hub.
Hon. Opuoru, expressed gratitude to Governor Oborevwori, “for his outstanding leadership in promoting environmental sustainability within Delta State.”
He praised the Governor’s administration for prioritizing environmental conservation as well as positioning the state as a leader in the region.
The Special Adviser, thanked the State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Jamani Tommy Ejiro, “for his key role in organizing the successful workshop”, saying Hon. Jamani Tommy Ejiro, who was represented by Dr. (Mrs.) M.I. Oseji at the event, was instrumental in bringing the workshop to fruition as well as advancing the state's environmental objectives
