Delta Obidient Elders' Council Mourns passing of a Colossus, fearless leader, Pa. E.K Clark

The Delta State Obidient Elders' Council, have mourned the peaceful transition of Elder statesman, Pa. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, whom they described as a Colossus, fearless leader and a father to many.

According to a statement released Thursday February 19, by the Protem Chairman of the Delta Obidient Elders' Council, Chief Chris Biose (A.K.A Obidient Daddy) and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Elijah Richard Oghenero, the Delta Obidient Elders' Council,  noted: "Chief Clark was not just an elder statesman; he was a towering pillar in the struggle for justice, equity and good governance in Nigeria.

“His relentless advocacy for the rights of the Niger Delta people, his unwavering stance on resource control, and his fearless voice against oppression made him a beacon of hope for generations.

“He was an institution, a custodian of truth, and a defender of the downtrodden, whose impact will remain indelible in Nigerian history. Beyond his national influence, Chief Clark played an inspirational role in the struggle for a New Nigeria, championing the ideals of democracy, accountability, and leadership driven by integrity.

“His wisdom and statesmanship served as a guiding light to the Obidient Movement. He was a father figure and an unshakable pillar in the quest for good governance.

"As we mourn this monumental loss, we take solace in the legacy of courage, resilience, and selfless service he leaves behind.

“His voice may be silent, but his vision and ideals will continue to resonate in our hearts and in the struggle for a Better Nigeria.

"We extend our deepest condolences to his family, the Ijaw Nation, the Niger Delta, and all who were privileged to know him. May the Almighty grant them the strength to bear this great loss and grant his soul eternal rest.

"Rest in peace, great leader. Your legacy lives on".
