The Olu of Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse III today charged the newly sworn-in Trust Executive of Aja-Etan Community and the Youths body not to chase developers from the community, by demanding illegal fee called "Deve."
Our Correspondent reports that the reverred Monarch gave the charge immediately after the Aja-Etan Trust Executive and youth body were sworn-in.
The king who was represented by Chief Omolubi Newuwumi, said they should work and ensure the security of lives and property as well as development of the Community.
In a message, the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, thanked God for the peaceful ceremony, saying, what's is expected of the community is "understanding, unity and cooperation."
The Local Government Boss, who was represented by Warri South Council Supervisor for Agriculture, Hon. Amiwe Pinnick Mofe, reminded the youths that they're the eyes of the community. "What's is expected of you is to demonstrate character the upcoming youths can look up to."

He warned them against cultism and other criminal vices, adding that the youths should also allow strangers who live within their midst feel secured. He stated: ,"Don't be amongst those who indulge in cultism. The Council does not tolerate it. Anyone caught in the act will be dealt with."
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of Aja-Etan Community Trust Executive, Hon. Kingsley Tonukarin, said he was committed to serving the community with integrity, transparency and accountability.
While noting the challenges confronting in the community, Hon. Tonukarin said his vision was to ensure that there is security, peace and progress in the land. "We'll work tirelessly to create opportunities for all the citizens to promote education, good healthcare and human capital development.
"We'll partner with our host companies, organizations and stakeholders, to bring about meaningful development to our community.

"To our youths, I pledge to provide opportunities for skill acquisition, scholarships, mentorship programmed to empower them to reach their full potentials.
"To our elders, I pledge to respect and honour their wisdom , experience and contributions to our community. Together, we'll build a better future for ourselves, our children and our generation."
Hon. Tonukarin, also used the opportunity to create five committees that will help to pilot the affairs of his administration in the next four years.
The committees created include, education, environmental/health, security, conflict&resolution/disciplinary.
He promised to carry the executive along in its day - to - day operations/activities.

Members of the new executive were sworn-in by the Secretary to the Elders' Council of Aja-Etan Community, Mr. Alfred Edon in the presence of the Olare-Aja, Pa. Samson Pemu Agiren, who offered prayers for them.
