Just In: Orugbo Suspended From Udu Council of Chiefs Over Alleged Misconduct


The Chairman of the Governing Council of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, Olorogun Andrew Orugbo, and member of Okporua Ruling House of Udu Kingdom, has been suspended from participating in meetings and other activities of the Udu Council of Chiefs pending investigation.

In a letter signed by Chief Sam E. Odibo, Otota and regent of Udu Kingdom, and made available to journalists, it was stated that a seven-member disciplinary committee has been constituted.

The letter, dated April 15, 2025, read: “I wish to inform you that you have been suspended from membership in the Udu Council of Chiefs, effective from Thursday, April 10, 2025.

“After careful consideration of your conduct during the meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the decision was reached to suspend you from further participation in the meetings and other activities of the Council pending investigation.

“In this regard, a seven-member disciplinary committee headed by Olorogun Austin Emaduku has been constituted.

“You are hereby required to see the disciplinary committee for further action,” it added.
