Former Senate President and ex-two-time governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki, will lead a seven-man committee to prepare for a rancour-free National Executive Council, NEC meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to be held later this month.
Fresh Angle International, can report that this much was disclosed in a tweet this afternoon, Monday May 12, by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
According to Governor Makinde, the expanded PDP Nigeria Governors’ Forum Meeting, held last night in Abuja, had extensive discussions about the party's future and the steps the governors need to take to overcome PDP’s present challenges.
He stated: “At last night’s Expanded @OfficialPDPNig Governors’ Forum Meeting which included serving and former governors, we had extensive discussions about our great party's future and the steps we need to take to overcome its present challenges.
“We are repositioning the PDP as the best option for Nigerians in 2027 and beyond.
“One of the major decisions reached was to set up a seven-man committee led by my brother, His Excellency Senator @bukolasaraki.
“The committee will be responsible for preparing for a rancour-free National Executive Council (NEC) meeting later this month and the forthcoming national convention in August.”
