Second - term Majority Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Tuoyo Ebigbeyi, has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the approval of direct electrification of Ode - Itsekiri and other communities in the coastal areas of Warri South Local Government Area.

Ebigbeyi, who was also delighted with the state government's plan to reconstruct Ekurede Itsekiri Road, Warri, which " has been left unattended to for almost a decade" leaving residents, motorists and business owners in that area to suffer untold hardship, assured Governor Oborevwori of massive support for his reelection in 2027.

The Principal Officer of Warri South Council Legislative Arm, who made his position known in an electronic statement sent exclusively to Fresh Angle International Saturday June 7, appealed to the Delta State Executive Council, to approve 2 to 3 kilometres of internal roads in Ifiekporo town, saying the densely populated Ifiekporo which has over nine tank farms with a fast - growing oil and gas/ allied businesses, need to be opened up with more roads, to ease socio - economic activities and improve safety of life and property in the area.

Ebigbeyi, who is also the Assistant Secretary of Ifiekporo Community Trust, begged Governor Oborevwori to look into the salary and welfare of councillors in the state, saying the current salary of local government lawmakers in the state is inadequate, due to inflation.

According to him, the councillors are left with nothing barely a week after receiving their salaries, noting that as representatives of the grassroots, the councillors are confronted daily with welfare challenges by their constituents.
