Highest employer of labour in Niger Delta is Tantita – Group

A group, known as Urhobo Host Communities Economic Development ( UHCED) has disclosed that TANTITA Security Services Limited (TSSL) was the highest employer of labour  in the Niger Delta region.

The group, made the revelation in a statement on Wednesday in Ughelli, while reacting to the unnecessary attacks on Tantita.

The statement signed by Mr. Sunny Eriyamremu, Coordinator,  group, noted that an independent investigation revealed that Tantita Security Services Limited is the highest labour employer in Niger Delta, made possible through the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to the security firm.

He said, “ Despite being a private indigenous firm, TANTITA is competing with  major multi-national oil companies operating in the region in terms of employment. As it were, Tantita has created thousands of job opportunities for Niger Deltans.”

" Tantita Security Services Ltd is highly worthy of commendation for showing immense capability which has restored investors trust in the oil and gas sector by practically reducing incessant illegal bunkering activities to the barest minimum and improving the oil production astronomically in the period of the contract in view"

“ No private or indigenous company in Niger Delta can break the employment record of Tantita. And this is why we are calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sustain the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to  Tantita Security Services Limited. The over 10,000 workers employed by Tantita are happily doing their job of protecting critical oil facilities “

The group commended the strategic initiative of  Tantita Security Services Limited being practically on ground and collaborating with traditional rulers, stakeholders and leaders of host communities which is producing positive results.

Also, the group passed a vote of confidence on Tantita and it’s Chairman, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo.
