The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Arts and Culture, Juwon Demas Olorunnipa, popularly known as "Jumabee, has applauded Senator Sunday Steve Karimi for what he described as “exemplary dedication and service” to the people of Kogi West Senatorial District.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Olorunnipa gave the commendation during a media interaction in Lokoja, the state capital, where he outlined the Senator’s various achievements and called on constituents to rally behind him for sustained development.
“Senator Karimi’s hard work and commitment in ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people of Kogi West are truly commendable,” Jumabee said. “His efforts in rehabilitating and improving our federal roads, distributing transformers to enhance power supply, and empowering women entrepreneurs are impactful and worthy of recognition.”
He further highlighted Karimi’s role in supporting education and water access across the senatorial district. “The Senator has consistently provided annual bursaries for students and has facilitated the sinking and rehabilitation of boreholes in several communities across the seven local government areas,” he added.
The Special Adviser also praised Karimi’s legislative impact at the national level. “In just two years, he has sponsored numerous bills and motions addressing both national concerns and issues peculiar to our constituency. His ability to give us a strong voice in the National Assembly is something we are proud of,” Jumabee noted.
Additionally, he lauded the Senator’s role in enhancing security in the region through the establishment of a Military Forward Operating Base. “This singular move has gone a long way in boosting the safety of lives and property in Kogi West,” he said.
Calling for unity and support, Jumabee appealed to residents of the senatorial district to continue backing Senator Karimi. “Leadership is about service, and Senator Karimi has shown that he is truly for the people. I urge our people to support him so he can do even more,” he concluded.
The commendation from Jumabee comes amid rising calls for more responsive and people-centered representation in Nigeria’s political landscape.
