One time head of department ofNigerian Army Base Workshop, Yaba Lagos, Pa. Dickson Esajumi Eburu has beeninstalled the Okpako Orere(head)of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Warri South local government.
At an elaborate ceremony attendedby most Elders of the Kingdom, opinion leaders like George Eburu, Alex Eda and Political bigwigs such as Special Assistant toGovernor Emmanuel Uduaghan on Special Duties, Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru ,immediate past Leader of Warri South local government legislative Arm, Hon.Sunday Aguweye and Chairman of Okere-Urhobo Community Development Committee,Mr. Emmanuel Eminokanju, Pa. Eburu who is also the Igede of Okere-Urhobo inhis acceptance speech promised to always “provide advisory opinion, safeguardsthat will ensure justice, unity, love and peaceful coexistence” amongst membersof the Olodi, Oki, Ighogbadu, Makro and Itifo descendants.
He pledged to work with the stategovernment and other members of the Elders’ Council towards ensuring all rounddevelopment of the area.
Chairman of the Installation PlanningCommittee, Patrick Eghere thanked indigenes of the kingdom as well as the Elders’Council for making the ceremony a huge success.
The new Okpako Orere who is maternallyfrom Gbolokposo and Jakpa in Uvwielocal government area and paternally from Eburu family in Okere-Urhobo takesover from Pa. Ogbogro Ovwhi who has since passed on.
