The Legislative Arm of Ughelli North Local Government Council, has communicated the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Olorogun ( Barr ) Jaro Egbo, notifying him of minor changes in its Principal Officers' positions.
In the written communication made available to Fresh Angle International Thursday August 14, the Council's legislature, stated that Hon. Friday Joseph Obara, Councillor representing Orogun Ward 5 and Hon. Afidor Victor, Councilor representing Agbarho Ward 19, have been sworn in as Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip, respectively, of the House.
The Leader of Ughelli North Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Ajaro Okeoghene Prosper in the correspondence signed on his behalf by Clerk of the House, Tagbajum Emmanuel, noted that the swearing in of the new Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip, was consequent upon resolutions reached during plenary held Thursday August 14.
This Flagship Niger Delta Online Newspaper, gathered that during the sitting which was attended by 14 Councillors, the House also resolved to proceed on a six - week recess, with effect from Thursday August 14.
The House, commended Olorogun Egbo, for his achievements " terms of massive projects done" in " just one year in office" and appealed to him to focus on the maintenance of internal/ link roads in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
